Body Image

In the ad that I choose to write about, is of a young girl sitting in front of a mirror with a picture from a magazine of some one famous on her lap, with makeup on the floor beside her. She has her hair braided and pulled up in in a bun and her hands gentle placed on the bottom of her chin. She looks like she is trying to be like the person in the magazine "Glamorous". We all look at ads and tv commercials and see the men and women, how fit they are and if we could only be like them. The ads make us believe that if we want to be perfect like the men and women in the there ads we need to buy the workout videos, the the face cremes and the hair products they are selling. We look at Movie stars and see them as untouchable that nothing can hurt them. Our kids use Atheletes, Actors, Actress, and anybody that they see on tv or in a magazine, to idiolize. We as parents need to show our children that the people they should strive to be, is a respectable person not one of wealth.
