STERIOTYPES OF WOMEN

The advertizment i choose is a pragnet woman, with her face concelead from the picture drinking a glass of wine. As I look at a picture like this it brings many unplesent thoughts. Why is this woman drinking pragnet and because of this you would automatcally think she is a bad mom. The picture also has a large glass of wine with a rope hanging out of it and masculant hands grasping on to the rope. To me this symbolizes the baby drounding in this alchlol the mother is drinking. While were quick to talk about this woman drinking pragnet where is the father at. Women always seem to be steriotyped as the housewife or a at home mother. We always see single mothers and thats just normal but hardly ever do we see single fathers. This is my aspect on this picture and how women are steriotyped even when were doing a good job, there is always someone whos going to judge you no matter how great of a mother you are or not!

what the add is portraying is that these women are addicted to fashion as if it were a drug like cocaine. one of the chicks looks like she is blazed out of her mind and the other is trying to snort the shoulder strap. i don't think that this is a very appropriate add, it looks like two strung out whores looking for there drugs they lost in there dress last night. i guess i don't understand why somebody would think its alright to make a add like this. there is some humor in this add the more i look at it but at first sight its not very appealing.

My advertisement varys with 3 important stereotypes that definitly affect our culture first of which is weight and how many people percieve it as beauty. The second stereotype is race which has always been an issue in our culture. My third stereotype is gender and how males are superior to women by dominating sex, money, and authority. These factors that are most important to me because being a single mother I defy the steroetypes above. I am a proud latina woman with curves who takes on the roles of mom provider and protecter proving woman can do it all.

loreal ad

I choose a loreal ad because I think everyone is judged on how they look. These ads have models that have been touched up but we look at them and say wow shes pretty I wanna look like that. The ad that I have is for "anti aging" lip stick. It has a picture of a model im not sure she is even in her thirties. What happens if a women in her 40s using that lipstick would she look that good?
